hey boogie, I had RNY gastric bypass 3 years ago. I was 506 lbs day of surgery. it was my last shot. Drs told me I wouldn’t see 25 years old. so surgery was my a hailmary. ITNOT THE EASY WAY OUT! This will change how your body reacts to food. You know all this. I tell everyone I talk to about this that it isn’t something to do unless it is the last resort. For you, this seems like it will be the best idea. the Drs said I would get lucky to u be 250 lbs. Inow way 146lbs. and I celebrated my 27th bday in Feb. it is hard, but it is worth it. being afraid of dying on the table kept me awake for 2 days before surgery. so that might be normal. discipline is learned but your body will kind of force you to learn. I know you have others to talk about this but if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to message me. Hope all goes great for you.

Ashley Schreiber Boogie doesn’t have the balls to do any of the hard work after the surgery. he is going to have stomach stapled and then right back to the oreos.

My happy ending: To be a make my parents appreciate who I am more, and to get my little sister out of the same negative environment that I’ve been stuck in. I wish you the best on the surgery, Boogie. I think it will go well. You’re a very inspiring dude, and I really do appreciate these types of videos as well. They’re as good for me as they are for you (and a whole lot of others I’m sure)

It absolutely is easier than a day to day diet over a long period of time. Why do you feel the need to make it seem like undergoing this procedure is harder? I don’t get it. Your friend got it done for their health and that is good on them! It WAS an easier way though.

Very bad decision. Gastric bypass is not a miracle. I weighed over 400 lbs, lost 230lbs in 39 months by changing my lifestyle. High fiber foods are your best friend. Less sugar, more fiber, know how many calories in food, increase physical activity, and get therapy to address why you are using food as a quick fix. Like all addictions, morbid obesity is a mental health issue. Tearing apart your bowels is not the answer. I know 2 people who got gastric surgery: one is now dead from bowel perforation that caused fatal septicemia. The other is alive but only lost 60 pounds, and several follow-up surgeries due to complications. The doctors fill you will lies to sell surgery.

Doctors that lie lose their licenses. That is an incredibly serious accusation to make. And a ridiculous one, too.

We don’t know Boogie’s exact situation. Don’t act like you know what’s best for him.

Yeah the surgery isn’t a quick fix. Defo last resort. But if the addiction isn’t tackled and you don’t have the willpower as you would trying to stick to a diet then surgery won’t work. When the stomach is made smaller and if you continue to eat as you were the stomach just re expands.
My best friend had surgery and she couldn’t stick to the diet regime so it made her really ill. She had a gastric sleeve and after a couple of months had to have it removed.
I wish Boogie gets all the help he can. And I know the YouTube community will be right there with him all the way.

Glen your friend must’ve had a band done also the band has very high unsuccessful rates of around 60%, a sleeve is where they remove 90% of your stomach and is irreversible

My happy ending is actually only about 2 weeks away. To put my story into context, about 10 years ago, I dropped out of college, mainly because I was lost. I then went from job to job, where I was treated like crap, but now in two weeks, I’m about to graduate thanks to my fiancee and knowing my potential future. I wish you the best as well.

To not come off “narrow minded” i suppose If his gastric bypass surgery is a success, i can see how it can influence other obese people who are interested in the surgery to go through with it as well, whether that’s good or bad is another subject.

If the stairs were the easy way out of a building does that mean you should climb down the side of the building instead?

My blood tests look better than a healthy persons, it is just a case of believing it can be done, all in the mind my friend. I have been following you for some years now and your mindset is much better and you are much, much happier now. It is your choice, do not let negativity get to you, specially from others, it breaks your spirit and right now you are at the best I have ever seen you.

I had gastric surgery 13 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I started at 306, got down to 140 and now maintain at around 180. My biggest challenge has been how to reward myself when I cannot do so with food. Believe me, if you overeat and vomit until you think you are going to die, you will NOT use food as a reward anymore!
The best thing I did as a reward was when I got to the size I could ride the rides at Universal Studios in Florida, I went and rode EVERYTHING. I was terrified. I got on every single roller coaster and scary ride and I had a ball.
I will be applauding with a gazillion others the day you toss that scooter away and walk the halls of whatever CON you are attending. Best of luck sir.

He said he lost already 50 kg or sth and he was very happy but he said that it cut his live down like he cant drink, he cant eat much and he cant get as heavy as before because its dangerous but he also said that he cant drink soda XD so you have to shake up your mountain dew XD i wish you the best. i pray for you. and maybe after that we will see a little boogie? πŸ˜€ have a great time

my dad got the gastric sleeve surgery a few years ago. the key is to GET ACTIVE AND STAY ACTIVE. You need to watch what you eat, do some kind of workout at the gym, etc. the surgery is more of a supplement and not a solution. theres nothing easy about the surgery. its good to see you are well informed with everything biggie, it seems like you’re mentally prepared. i wish you luck biggie!
